Frost on a bedroom window in Toronto

One Toronto winter had an almost endless spell of extremely cold weather. Each morning I awoke to a completely new pattern of frost on the bedroom window that disappeared each day when the sun shone on it. Like tales from the Arabian nights, or good radio drama or a good book, you could image all sorts of wonderful new scenes each day. This one makes me think of plants growing under water in a mystical sea.. Other days there were supernovae, processions of nuns marching through the mountains, sailing ships in wild ocean storms.
