Fashion Show,
New York City
When visiting my cousin Miriam in Newark, New Jersey, we took a trip to New York City to see the sights. As usual at that time, I was carrying my twin lens reflex and a tripod. As part of our excursion, we went to a fashion show. Being quite naive, I walked down the aisle, set up my equipment and began photographing the models. I must have looked quite official since the announcer for the show said that the models were now posing for the photographer, which they did. I realized that I was doing something quite out of line and after a few more photographs, I picked up my equipment and retired to the back of the room for the rest of the show.
