Maeve and Dietmar Küchemann were my best friends when I lived in London England. Maeve was an exceptional photographer and artist. Dietmar and I taught in the same grammar school. His subject was mathematics and mine was physics. He later went on to become a very successful writer of mathematics books for UK grammar schools.
Dietmar, now with PhD in hand, is at the University of London in the Faculty of Culture and Pedagogy. He lectures in mathematics and is the Research Officer for Developing Research-Informed Proof Materials. He has also published widely including papers in the International Journal of Science and Mathematics, Proceeding of the British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics, Proceedings of CERME, Bellana, Italy, etc. |
